Network Throughput

The Chennai cross-dock hub was introduced to reduce idle time between inbound receipt and outbound movement for freight heading toward Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Kolkata, and nearby industrial clusters. Cross-docking is especially effective for freight that does not require long storage dwell time.

With shorter hub stays and more deliberate load planning, the southern network can now move mixed shipments with better speed and fewer touchpoints. That improves both transit reliability and asset utilization.

  • Faster handoff from inbound to outbound vehicles
  • Lower dwell time for through-freight
  • Improved connectivity between southern and eastern lanes
